So as to avoid any real world connotations, I have done my best to abstract the game world and to put the storyline into an imagined city, in an imagined past. I am referencing no actual person or event, and any similarity with either is purely incidental.

About the game
You have a mission, and its neither an easy one, nor is it one you can expect to come back alive from, nor is it one which will bring you anything but misery in this life and in posterity. And yet, you seem to have no choice.
Theme
"You are the weapon" struck a chord with me and I did not spend too much time thinking about whether or not the very first idea I had was good enough. I just went for it.
I realise a game is, in theory, a space which holds no consequence for the world outside it. However, I am doubtful about the comprehensiveness of that point of view. I have come to believe that the domain of play and the domain of serious activity can be interconsequential, and I am curious to create games that explore this.
In practice, I wonder if people will consider the "win screen" an actual victory, or not. Choices should matter, but not because a game or developer says they should, but because of what they mean for the player. Because, if the one's choices don't matter, then one truly is just an instrument. Or in this case, a weapon.
